The Kickoff provides an excellent opportunity for first-year students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds to connect. Students learn about faculty expectations, programs, and services, and allows them to meet their peers. This two-day event is held in August just before the start of classes. Learn more | Register
SEAM is a program of communities. A SEAM community consists of 15-20 first year students who share similar interests or goals, have expressed a desire to study in a multicultural environment, and take the same 2-4 classes for fall semester. These classes are popular University of Minnesota courses that meet graduation requirements. Learn more | Register
The Circle of Indigenous Nations, formerly the American Indian Learning Resource Center, is part of MCAE and has a new website.
The Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence is part of the Office for Equity and Diversity.
