MEP Book Voucher, Reimbursement and Return Policies & Procedures

MEP Scholars:      Please read the following

Book Vouchers

If you need required books/course packets that are only available in other locations, i.e. Paradigm Copies, Amazon Bookstores Co-Op or the Student Book Store, you will need to have a MEP Book Voucher.   Special arrangements have been made with these stores, so it is imperative to verify with MEP Staff that businesses other than the ones mentioned are participants in the MEP Book Voucher program.  All other textbooks should be purchased at a University Bookstore.

To receive a voucher you must:

Ø  Get MEP Book Voucher in Rooms 106 or 182 Klaeber Court – No appointment required

Ø  Present your course syllabus-which identifies the textbook as required

ü  Do not purchase a book without a Voucher

ü  Purchases made without a Voucher will not be reimbursed

Reimbursements

You should know that the University Bookstores does not give reimbursements for books or course packets purchases made outside of the Bookstore system (Coffman & St. Paul).  If you have purchased your textbooks with your U-Card, you are responsible for those charges.  MEP will not pay for books charged to your student account.

Course Withdrawal/Book Returns

If you withdraw from a class, the book(s) purchased for that class must be returned.  Your student account will be charged if the book is not returned.

Ø  Class Withdrawals before the 2nd Week of Classes-Return books to the Bookstore (only)

Ø  Class Withdrawals after the 2nd week of classes – Return books to the Bookstore or to Rooms 106 or 182 Klaeber Court (MEP)

Ø  Books purchased and used for classes the entire semester (through finals) belong to you.  Those books do not have to be returned.  You may keep them or sell them back to the Bookstore.

The Book Voucher, Reimbursement and Return Policy and Procedure will remain in effect until further notice
