Mission

The Circle of Indigenous Nations provides family-centered services that ensure quality student experiences through the utilization of indigenous thoughts and values. The center promotes academic excellence through personal contact, advocacy, current technology, and program development. The center fosters an indigenous environment that allows students to feel a sense of community on campus. The center contributes to the strengthening and the development of all students through culturally specific services.

The Circle of Indigenous Nation's mission will be accomplished by:

  • Assisting in retention and graduation of American Indian students.
  • Developing quality programs that support American Indian students.
  • Strengthening American Indian students in their developmental process while maintaining their cultural and individual identities.
  • Encouraging American Indian students to obtain skills and tools necessary to be successful.
  • Encouraging American Indian students to advocate for themselves and their community.
  • Preserving and utilizing Indigenous history and culture.
  • Building effective relationships with campus resources.
